Abstract Generations are social cohorts shaped by historical, cultural, and technological contexts. Understanding generational differences is critical for educators, policymakers, and organizations to adapt to social, economic, and technological changes. This paper explores the journey from Baby Boomers (1946–1964) to Generation Alpha (2013–2025), focusing on their defining traits, values, technology adoption, and societal impact. Both global and Indian contexts are analyzed, emphasizing how each generation has contributed to societal evolution. The study identifies trends in education, work culture, communication, and social values, while discussing challenges and opportunities posed by generational transitions. Insights into Generation Alpha suggest that AI, VR, and digital technologies will fundamentally shape the future workforce and culture.
